Restoration

something pomp into my heart when i saw this word 'restore' last night during prayer meeting. i asked God,
'what does it means to be restored?'
this is no an unfamiliar word to Christianity. many times in Bible God said that He intended good for those who love Him and will bring restoration to His people and land (2 Chron 7:14). there are more than one occasion that God wanted to bring restoration to His people. one of the most significant act of God restoration is through sending His son Jesus Christ to die for all our sins. this is the restoration between God and His people, so that things will turn back to its original intention when God created us.

it reminds me of the story when Joshua leading the Israelites to enter the Promise Land of God. The Israelites have been wondering in the wilderness over 40 years. Bible said that they have no rest over these period of times until the time where they finally enter the promise land. This is a type of Christ talking about God's rest. in new testament it's said that Jesus is our peace and now we all can find our rest in Christ Jesus.
things weren't right at first, but God come and turn things back to His original intention.

'rest' and 'store' are the key to 'restore' our lives. we find our rest in Jesus, and store up not for our own good but Jesus. proverb said where's our treasure is then there our heart will be. Restoration can seem so easy but yet challenge. many of us are not willing to give up our old life and set God our priority. i wonder what make the rich young ruler to ask Jesus how to inherit eternal life.
"sell all your goods and give it to the poor, then take up my cross and follow me"
that wahh...
restoration can seem as the grace of God but required our trust in Him. we are retricted by our physical realm and too often fail to see what is going on in the spiritual reaml, that even though i have nothing in physical that i can cover myself but through God He make all things good according to His own way.
restoration is when God moves His hand among His people and started to turn the world around by His goodness and mercy.
'Rest' + 'Store' = 'Restore'
