An Honorable Ambition?

To aspire to leadership is an honorable ambition. I Tim 3:1

Should you then seek great things for yourself? Seek them not Jeremiah 45:5

Mark 10:42-44

' You know that those who are regarded as rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their high officials exercise authority over them."
Not so with you, says the Lord..."Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be slave of all"

how many of us today serve God with a unworthy motivation, or seeking prestige or greatness in doing His works? God is perfectly fine with us for being ambitious, but He is concerns about the force driven behind our ambitions. As a believer of Jesus Christ we ought to lead by a deep love for Christ and genuine concern for others (Love God with passion and love people with compassion).

Reflect yourself today, is Jesus our passion? Or He is just a step way for you to climb higher on your 'spiritual career'?

'Because we children of Adam want to become great,
He became small.
Because we will not stoop,
He humbled Himself.
Because we want to rule,
He came to serve.
